  33. I have been offline for a bit (BUSY!) and have been somewhat gaurded until
  34. everything shakes out, but basically what is happening at Amblin is that
  35. the remaining seaQuest animators (those that are not involved with Tony
  36. Stutterheim/Bruce Hall and their compnay that is working on a BIG game...)
  37. were let go from Universal as of Jan 12th and have decided to not be
  38. involved in a new venture that is being worked out as we speak (and will
  39. be detailed further when appropriate). Grant Boucher has teamed up with 
  40. them and they are working with/for (I'm not sure which) Encore in Hollywood.

  42. Amblin Imaging is, for all practical purposes, ceasing to exist as "Amblin
  43. Imaging" and a new comapny is being formed in its place with myself and
  44. John Parenteau at the helm. We are continuing our work with Star Trek:
  45. Voyager and other clients and will continue using LightWave for the vast
  46. majority of projects as long as it has the necessarry tools for the jobs 
  47. (And it's getting better all the time ;))

  49. Obviously, it's difficult to talk about these things as details are being 
  50. worked out by attorneys, et al, but things look like they are going quite 
  51. well and I thought I should post and let folks know what's going on.
